|  Roland Venable
Pastor Venable was born in Hampton, Va. and came
to know Christ as his personal Savior at the age of
16. Shortly thereafter God began working in his heart
leading him into the ministry. After graduating from
college he began serving in his home church where he
served as the youth pastor and was ordained on
September 18, 1984. While there, he not only worked with the youth, but also taught in the Christian school, directed the Bus Ministry, and worked with the College & Career. While serving on staff at the church he also earned his masters degree and graduated from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Va. Beach on May 7, 2000. After 17 years of ministry in Hampton, Va. God directed him to Downingtown, Pa. where he is now serving as the pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church.
He and his wife Cindy, were married in 1982. God has blessed them with two wonderful boys, Joshua and Jonathan. In May of 2006 Joshua graduated from Pensacola Christian College and then married in June. Joshua and Danielle are currently working on their graduate degrees at Pensacola Christian College. Following graduation in May of 2008 they plan to pursure God's direction in full time ministry. Jonathan is currently living at home and working locally as he prepares for the future.
